It’s my great pleasure to join you today at the Australian Marketplace China 2019 event.

You could not have picked a more appropriate place to hold today’s event.
澳大利亚旅游局选择在四川举办本次洽谈会，再合适不过了。
With tourism accounting for 25 per cent of its GDP, and world-class attractions such as the Giant Buddha in Leshan and – of course – pandas, Sichuan is one of China’s tourism standouts.
四川的旅游业占全省GDP总额的25%，这里有许多世界级的旅游景点，例如乐山大佛，还有我们都知道的大熊猫，让四川成为中国旅游业的佼佼者之一。
But while Sichuan locals are of course rightfully proud of their home province’s stunning scenery, cute fauna and world-famous cuisine, they are also increasingly curious about the outside world.
四川人必然为家乡绝美的风景、可爱的动物和世界闻名的美食感到骄傲。同时，对于外面的世界，他们也愈发好奇。
In fact, Sichuan is one of the fastest growing sources of tourists from China to Australia. And, with a growing number of direct flights and increasingly sophisticated travel services, it has never been easier for them to experience Australia.
事实上，四川是中国到澳大利亚旅游增长最快的客源地之一。而且，随着直飞航班的不断增加，旅游服务的日益完善，四川人前往澳大利亚体验当地的风景文化，他们的旅游体验从未如此轻松。
Likewise, more and more Australians are also coming here to experience for themselves the rich culture, mouth-watering cuisine and natural beauty that Sichuan has to offer.
同样，越来越多的澳大利亚人也来到四川，亲身体验这里特有的丰富文化、令人垂涎的美食和自然景观。
Of course, the Australia-Sichuan tourism relationship has not flourished without industry support.
当然了，没有旅游行业的支持，就没有澳大利亚与四川旅游关系的蓬勃发展。
That is why we at the Consulate-General, Tourism Australia, and other government institutions have been devoting our efforts to providing opportunities for representatives from the Australian tourism industry to strengthen and establish relationships with key travel agencies and tour operators from within the region.

For example, during the China-Australia Year of Tourism, we were the country of honour at the 4th Sichuan International Travel Expo.

Our presence at the expo included an impressive trade delegation that showcased our world-class capabilities in tourism management, training and destination development.

Events such as today’s forum are also very important in deepening our tourism-related exchanges.
